hey my name is shaun and this is my new blog. I have always wanted to follow in my dads footsteps and start my own business and be successful. My best chance of turning my dream into a reality is going to college to get an associate’s degree in business. I hope to gain knowledge that will someday help me manage my company in a professional and efficient way. My family is extremely supportive with my decision to go to school. I have always known that I wanted to go to college even though motocross has always had priority over school now that I’m at college I have decided to put my priorities into school over sports.
I am mostly taking classes that are required for a business associates degree but, I am also taking a few classes that will generally help me be a better overall. In the summer I am going to take a golfing class which in some ways relates to business. Most businesses use golf as a chance to meet a customer and get on “good terms” with them in order to make sales.
Family has always been the most important thing in my life I needed their approval and money to get to college. My parents have made a deal with me that if I get above a 3.0 GPA then they will pay for school so I don’t have to get a job as long as I take college seriously.
I have known since junior high that I wanted to attend college for at least two years and have stuck with that plan. Up until now motocross was the biggest part of my life it had priority over everything but now that I’m getting close to having to make my own living I have decided to put most of my effort into getting good grades in college.
In conclusion I have chosen to go to college to get the skills I will someday need to run a business and also gain a few more skills for fun. It has also helped me get my life straightened out because I have a goal and something to shoot for rather than drifting aimlessly.
